Intelligent Fabric Technology - explains the 'Vapour Release System' (VRS)
Research & Development

In order to fully appreciate the mechanics of the insect repellent market and identify existing product deficiencies, ProActiv commissioned a specialist agency to look into this area in detail. The brief included an overview of the market place today, marketing methods, point of sale material, consumers 'user enjoyment factor' (UEF) and most importantly, ideal design solutions.

The research concluded that most products in the marketplace were sold on fear factor and although some products have good efficacy, all products were found to have very little or no UEF or 'look-forward to use functionality' to enhance or encourage the users interaction with the current products available in the market place today.

ProActiv's research highlighted a wide gap in the market-place for a range of well designed multifunctional accessories with high UEF and product efficacy values that do not compromise or impose on the users' individual style or enjoyment of travel; products that enhance the users travel experience.
